Hey – remember how this was a knitting blog once? Yeah, I know. Me too. I don’t want to talk about the shawl (I haven’t decided if I’m going to finish it or rip it all back and turn the yarn into something else altogether). Instead, I started something new.
This is the beginning of a Seamless Infant Kimono made from Red Heart Hula that was handed down to me by a knitting friend. It’s not fancy yarn, but I have it in this red and a white, too. Right now my plan is to do the body of the sweater in the red, use the white for trim, and then do another one that is the opposite. We’ll see how that goes.
The book is The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood. It’s the second MaddAdam book (a sequel to Oryx and Crake, sort of). I had also started The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making but I’m letting it lag. I’m listening to The Half Blood Prince (yeah, still Harry Potter) because I’m still not bored with Stephen Fry’s voice.
What are you making and reading?
